The New M340i xDrive is reportedly the quickest ICE-powered car and the first BMW to be produced in India. The safety features include six airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, dynamic stability control (DSC) with dynamic traction control (DTC), ABS with braking assist, cornering brake control (CBC), side-impact protection, collision sensors, and attention help. It also has run-flat tyres with a tyre pressure indicator, ISOFIX child seat attachments, an electronic vehicle immobilizer, and an inbuilt emergency spare wheel. One of the advanced driver assistance features of the BMW M340i xDrive is a parking aid with a rearview camera that records the last 50 meters driven and helps the car navigate through tight spaces.
